A few months ago my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. Amazingly, due in no small part to highly advanced modern technology and techniques, he was home within a week of having a golf ball size cyst removed. A lot more treatment is needed in the short term, but there is little doubt he has been given the best chance he could have been. The only thing they got wrong is that he is just as silly as he was before.

I am registered for the 3km Great Pier Swim in Southend on 21st July and then for a 1 mile Great Swim event in docklands at the end of August. If for some reason I can't get to these events I commit to doing 4km in the pool for the first one and 3km for the second.
