Story
Hi guys - it’s Jasper!
Those who know me, know how much I love meat and a good CURRYYYY. However, for many years I’ve debated becoming a vegetarian as a lover of animals - it’s been an ongoing ethical debate for me. In addition, my lovely Wife hasn’t touched meat for over 20 years despite cooking it for us all everyday with no complaints...
After watching The Game Changer (A MUST SEE) - I decided that I would undergo a 6 month challenge to become a strict vegetarian. No chicken, no pork, no beef, no lamb, no fish... Basically nothing that was ever alive.
In addition to this - I’m having blood tests performed before and after the challenge to see if becoming meat free really is a better way to live? I’m hoping it will have a positive effect on my chronic high cholesterol and maybe even help me loose a few pounds??
So why do I need a Just Giving page???
Other than for motivation...
Every challenge needs a good cause!!! As some of you may know, for the past four years myself and Chris Denning have raised money for a school very close to our hearts.
We first visited Hadrian School in January 2016 after donating money we raised during an auction. It touched me in such a profound way, especially after meeting such committed staff and the amazing children who attend there every day. Hadrian’s School caters for pupils aged between two and eleven years with a range of additional needs including complex, severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
I’d love for my family and friends to support a charity so close to my heart, and also my personal challenge of leaving a carnivore diet behind 👋🏾
Thanks in advance, and I’ll try not to bore you to death with my posts!
