My partner, Ashley, was diagnosed with epilepsy long before we met. She was lucky to be seizure free for over ten years. Ashley has always been an inspiration to me as someone who overcomes and perseveres when faced with adversity.  

About 2.5 years ago, Ashley had two breakthrough seizures, the first two since we met in 2008. After seeing firsthand the impact a seizure can have on a person, their family, and their lives, I want to do everything I can to help find a cure for epilepsy.

Ashley completed her first marathon three months after her breakthrough seizures in 2018, and I can't wait to cross the finish line with her this time. Because of this, I'm fundraising to run the Chicago Marathon, with all donations going to CURE Epilepsy.
