Story
I was first diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and in October 2021, I was told it had spread to my Liver, Kidneys and Lymph Nodes. I was told the devastating news that I had approximately between 12 months - two years to live.
But I started treatments and I responded well, along the way I stumbled across Maggie's. A place on the grounds of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The team there have given me so much help and guidance practically and emotionally. Its an amazing support centre that is so welcoming and comfortable, you'd never know you're just a stones throw away from a hospital. Every time I go to Maggie's, I leave with the biggest smile on my face.
I'm determined to carry on with my life and enjoy it to the full, regardless of how tired I feel. I'll take every experience I can, which is why I've chosen to do this challenge.
I want to raise money for Maggie's to help them support so many other people facing similar circumstances to me.
I am going to be walking over 3,000 steps a day throughout the month of December. And I will be ending it on New Years Eve, at West Kirby Marine Lake with friends, family and business associates joining me for the final walk and celebratory finish. I'd appreciate any support you can give with a donation to help raise funds for Maggie's.
Everyone is welcome to join me on New Years Eve for this final part of the journey.
Thanks in advance.
