Story
One of the longest and coldest winters of our time, over 400 miles run (London and back), a few injuries and all the other associated things that come with training and I am more or less ready for the London Marathon. Of course as with any race I am running for a charity. The charity I have chosen to run for is Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. There are a few reasons for this choice but the main one being that one of my best mates Chris Battys’ father passed away last year after his battle with pancreatic cancer and I have chosen run the race in his memory raising some much needed cash for pancreatic cancer research fund. I am not aiming for any silly time (that I am publically admitting, failure is one of my biggest fears) just getting around in one piece will do me and a big dirty steak and red wine afterwards.
I know times are hard for many but if you could dig around the coffers and spare anything for such a good cause I would be eternally grateful and may even be a butler in the buff for you ….. on second thoughts.……..(I will do it for a 300 quid donation) :) thanks for your continued support.
Below is a link to the pancreatic cancer research website which shows some pretty shocking facts, please help a worthy cause.
