Story
Due to Covid restrictions in France last September our ride was postponed until June 2022. I am now doing a 346 miles over 4 days to Paris.
When lockdown happened in March 2020, I began to devote more time to cycling. An avid mountain biker for a good number of years, I decided to move to the roads and during the course of 2020, I was joined by my neighbour where our Sunday morning rides just grew and further we went.
As 2021 came upon us, we decided to set ourselves a challenge, something to aim too and support a good cause.
As such I am participating in the London to Paris bike ride, cycling 235 miles across three days in September 2021, for Saint Francis Hospice Romford.
Saint Francis Hospice is a local charity who provide palliative care for those with terminal illnesses. In addition, the hospice provides specialist after-life support to many families during their toughest times - a service which has supported my family after losing my Brother-In-Law in 2013 and Father-In-Law in 2018.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, any donations will be greatly appreciated.
