Story
I am Jason Renfree, I’m 53 years young and I consider myself to be the fittest and healthiest I’ve been in a very long time - all down to the Sunrise Centre at Treliske Hospital.
In January 2021 I was diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil. After brutal treatments of radiotherapy and chemotherapy I am now 1 year and 6 months cancer free.
The Sunrise Centre has played a huge part in my treatment and recovery - without them I would not be here, so now I wish to give back something in the way of a thank you to the Sunrise Centre and their staff by cycling 200 miles in 3 days and raising as much money as possible in order for them to help others.
Together we can do more for our hospitals and patients. Patients are diagnosed and treated faster, families and loved ones are more comfortable, and staff travel out of county for specialised training - all through generous support given to Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity.Your support moves care at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, West Cornwall Hospital, Penzance & St Michael's Hospital, Hayle), beyond the basic provision of the NHS.
