Story
Hi everyone. Earlier in the year I made the decision to get into better shape to join the Army Reserves, since at the time I was nowhere near to standard of fitness required. Over the course of 6 months, I have certainly gotten in much better shape and lost about 15kg from when I first started the training sessions back in February.
The motivation for wanting to join the Reserves has given me a new sense of confidence and, consequently, skydiving is now something that I'm keen to try out.
The date for the skydive is now set for the 29th August. Originally it was the 30th July but due to bad weather this got postponed.
The charity I am raising money for is SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity who provides lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. They have helped veterans from the First and Second World Wars to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, as well as their families.
I have chosen this charity in particular as the Armed Forces mean a lot to me and, since I wouldn't be skydiving at all without the motivation I have trying for the Army reserves, I feel that I owe something to them for getting me this far.
Massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me.
