Story
On 19th January 2019, life would never be the same again, our son Tommy Plant, suffered a cardiac arrest at home. He was taken to Birmingham Childrens Hospital to save his life, all the staff within the A&E department worked tirelessly to save him, not forgetting the wonderful WMAS who supported him from home to the hospital. Against the odds they managed to get his little heart beating again.
Tommy was then moved to intensive care to give him the best chace of recovery, here he received world class life support on the PICU ward, the dedication of all the consultants, doctors, nurses, everyone...ensured our son had the best chance of recovery. Due to such amazing care, support, dedication and proffesionalism, Tommy some 16 days to the day, walked out of Birmingham Childrens Hospital on 4th February.
We owe them everything, so we are wanting to raise not just awareness of the world class care and treatments they provide, we also want to give something back...as much as we can, therefore we are hoping to raise money to support these life savers, to ensure that they can continue in the amazing work they do 24/7.. 365days of every year.
Tommys local school are also doing what they can to raise money as well and as a family we will also be doing events throughout 2019 to again raise money, in May the Birmingham 10k and in October the Birmingham Half Marathon plus in 2020 the Manchester Marathon
