Story
When those you know or work with have to deal with the worry and challenges of this disease, you feel like you want to contribute. So, I can do a little something to help raise some money for this charity – we can do a little something.
We’ve all been through a fairly tough time with its accompanying ups and downs, but many people have had to deal with additional worries and anxieties!
Everyone who reads this will probably know someone who has this disease,
one of the 2.5 million (Macmillan Cancer Support, 2019) living with cancer. On the other hand, maybe they are one of the ever-increasing numbers of people who have survived five or more years since diagnosis.
Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK
has doubled. In the 1970s, just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for ten years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive. Cancer research aims to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
Covid has shown us all that medical research is vital.
It saves lives and generates the idea of hope – so it would be great if you could create a little bit more hope through Cancer Research UK.
A big thank you - Jason
