Story

Thank you for visiting the page. For those of you who dont know me, My name is Jason manton, I am 47 years old, and have turned into a couch potato!

In september 2022 I lost my grandfather after a four year battle with dementia 💔

I never really fully understood why they call dementia the long goodbye.. well.. now I do! And for anyone who is going through, or has been through this.. you have my deepest sympathies.

I have been toying with the idea of trying to get fitter and healthier lately and decided I needed a bit of inspiration. This came to me while just sat idly watching TV one night when a documentary came on about dementia.. I knew then what I had to do.. so the baxters loch ness marathon for charity it was. Grandad was a massive sports fan and I can't think of a better way to honour his memory by giving back to the wonderful carers that helped not only him, but my whole family through that traumatic time.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and any donation no matter how large or small is greatly appreciated.

I will be posting updates on how well ( or not so well ) my training is going for those who remain interested

Thank you in advance

Jason
