Story
Hi,
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
On the 15th of May I will be walking 40 miles non stop in aid of Help for Heroes.
For every soldier killed in action in or , 4 are most seriously injured – these figures are never reported. Help for Heroes supports the servicemen who have returned with life changing injuries – often they have lost more than one limb and have serious facial injuries.
Our walk begins at the Staffordshire regiment base in Whittington, Lichfield at 4.00am and will take us to Selly Oak Hospital, where many of the soldiers are treated, and then on to Feckenham, Worcestershire – a total of 40 miles. 20 of us are currently training for the walk which will take around 14 hours. My aim is to raise £2000 minimum.
I would be most grateful if you would consider making a donation to Help for Heroes and to support me on my walk. If you would like to know more about Help for Heroes and the work they do their website address is www.helpforheroes.org.uk Alternatively, Channel 4 showed a documentary last week which is most moving. Here is the link to watch it http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-air-hospital/4od#3050906
May I thank you in anticipation of your support.
