Story
It costs in excess of £20,000 to train and support each dog, and the charity relies entirely on donations. Each dog can change the life of not only its person, but the life of the whole family unit.
The pandemic has seen charities take a huge financial hit, especially newer charities who are unable to bid for grants in the same way as more established ones. Dogs for Autism is a young charity and we were lucky enough to have their very first assistance dog, Arthur, partnered with my youngest son. The Hundred Heroes campaign is asking one hundred fundraisers to each pledge to raise £1000 over the next six months - this would fund the training of five more assistance dogs and in turn change the lives of five other families. In order to do this, Michael Sargeant Just Mortgages and Jason Davey Just Mortgages will be donating £50 from each completed mortgage until the end of the year - we can help clients with mortgages wherever you are in the UK. We are using a Just Giving page as the money goes directly to the charity as soon as it is donated so can be put to good use straightaway.
