Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

With two great friends Graeme Jones and Matthew Clare, the past three years have seen us take part in events such as Tough Mudder, Survival of the fittest, Olympic distance Triathlons and Manchester Marathon.

Last year a hernia operation and subsequent internal bleeding led to three months off work and a long period without training, too early after the operation I did my first triathlon (Sandman, North Wales) I failed and having been rescued out of the water I had to gain confidence in open water. Two further rescues later I eventually completed three Olympic distance triathlons and this year I have been preparing for Long Course Weekend, Iron man distance including a 2.4 mile Sea Swim on Friday evening, a 112 mile bike on Saturday and the countries toughest Marathon on Sunday..

When I have to dig deep I will be thinking of what Steve Prescott achieved, especially after his diagnosis and this is why  I wish to support his Charity, and yes I will have to dig deep!.

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund.
