Story

Climbing a mountain for those that still have a mountain to climb.

The aim is to walk on the 5th February to kick off CMHW however for safety reasons this is weather permitting.

Children and young people across the UK are facing short, medium and long-term impacts on their mental health and emotional wellbeing, and for many, issues have worsened as a result of the pandemic. Whilst some sort of normality has been restored, this doesn’t mean the damage to our children has been repaired.

~In the last school year almost 40,000 pupils booked their own appointment with one of Place2Be’s mental health professionals.

~81% of children with severe difficulties showed an improvement in well being according to parents and carers.’

Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity that provides counselling and mental health support and training in UK schools with firm beliefs that children should not have to face mental health problems alone.

If you haven’t already watch ‘Dr Alex George: Our Young Mental Health Crisis’, on BBC iPlayer which gives a harrowing insight 😥, and please give anything you can to support Place2Be.

Thank you xx
