It's that time of year again!

I will be hiking along Cornwall's coast on September 3rd in honour of my beautiful and deeply kind hearted best friend, Mani. (I can already hear my knees creaking in fear...)

Mani sadly lost her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in October 2019. She was only 26 years old. Even after 5 years of fighting, endless lumbar punctures and a stem cell transplant, she always made way to find the strength and energy to keep going. She made it her mission in life to spread joy, kindness and warmth to every person she met. Anyone who was lucky enough to know her personally will currently be nodding away!

Mani taught me a lot about life. From embracing the rare, fleeting moments we fail to treasure in life, to doing the things that scare you - challenging yourself and constantly striving to become the best version of yourself, while remaining humble, grounded, and considerate of those around you. 

So, in her honour, I have vowed to take time out each year to do a charity event in her memory. 

Please donate what you can. Macmillan offer amazing support to cancer patients, survivors and their families through an increasingly difficult and isolating time. All of Mani's nurses were funded by Macmillan - and I will be forever grateful for the kindness and sincerity they showed throughout her ongoing treatments.
