Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
New Years Day 2018, I'm up early because I have a chance to sign up for the Cardiff 10K in September. Always had a weight problem, but after taking off almost 14 stone decided I could cut it and make it through 10K. At least walking it. My challenge then was I'd like to run it.
I started with Couch to 5K on a treadmill. It was tough at the start having to run for up to two minutes seemed like a lifetime, even though I was walking for two in between!
I stuck at it and when the weather brightened up moved to run outdoors. This brought it's own issues, going off to fast, hills, weather. I kept going and pulled through the worse of it.
I've been running parkrun (5K) every Saturday morning since April with shorter runs through the week. Recently going on longer runs of up to 7.5K in order to get some idea of the distance.
I'm looking forward to running the 10K and will greatly receive any donation.
