Jarno, who is our healthy 12-year-old son, was born with a liver failure. He is, thankfully, fortunate enough to have survived without any nasty side effects or the need for a liver transplant. However, he is one of few children who survived and grow up to be as fit as he is. That's why he wants to do something in return for those children who are not as fortunate as he is, by running a marathon (or more) before the end of May to raise funds for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation.
