Story

Jarlath, Alex & Andy have Parkinson's disease, an incurable progressive neurological disease.  Despite this we regularly play golf and exercise has been shown to be the one thing which slows down the progression of the disease.  We have been asked to represent Scotland in a Sport Parkinson's Home Nations Golf Tournament on the famous  Brabazon course at The Belfry on 11th-14th October 2021.

We want to support Sport Parkinson's fundraising and are challenging ourselves to play 72 holes of golf over 2 days at Thornton Golf Club, Fife on 12th & 13th July 2021.  We would be delighted if you would sponsor us to do our challenge.  Guess our combined Stableford score over the four rounds and enter your guess on your donation message.  Sponsors who guess correctly will be entered in a draw to win £50.  Thank you very much for your support.

Parkinson's UK and Sport Parkinson's are proud to be working in partnership to provide access to physical activity and exercise for individuals, groups and communities to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of all people affected by Parkinson's. Over the course of the next 3 years we are aiming to raise £175,000 for the Parkinson's UK Active Community Grants Programme.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
