Story
My sister is taking part in a virtual hike for Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity) to help raise funds to support bereaved families and research into saving babies' lives
Back in 2006 she sustained life changing injuries on the way to her veterinary exam.
Her prognosis was not good and she was given just hours so that we could “say goodbye” and let her slip away, but this was not to be as she is a stubborn as they come!
Whilst we face many challenges with her health, we are goal setters and her determination and strength is comparable to no one else I know!
She met Kath only a few times after loosing little Otis, Kath was a very kind, selfless and giving person, and I think my sister knew that.
So a few weeks a go she decided she wanted to join us on our snowdon hike! So we scratched our heads, and thought, this isn’t particularly feasible without a shed load of forward planning - however, technology means that she can do it from home!
So she will be walking 15 Miles, in her @hocomamedical Lokomat Pro over the month of May, which is a similar distance to the snowdon by night hike.
