Amanda...In July 2020 my life changed in a way I would not want anyone to go through. I had my first tonic clonic seizure. I was so scared and so upset. My husband and my son witnessed this and being totally honest this upset me the most. They had seen this horrible seizure take place and I couldn’t do anything about it. Fast forward to now March 2022, over 1 year seizure free and they are still so supportive and amazing I couldn’t ask for more. My family and friends are amazing too. I feel so lucky, blessed, supported and loved.
I think it’s so important to raise awareness of epilepsy as it changed my life so much and because of this Janis and I are going to be running the Great North Run this year and supporting the amazing charity Epilespy Action. This charity has supported me so much as epilepsy is not just seizures. Even though I am seizure free 🙌 i still have epilepsy and the side effects that come with it.
If we help one person we have achieved our goal but if we can help more than one person that would be absolutely amazing.
