In 2007 my lad was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive tumour, he needed intensive treatment for 2 years and is still being seen by various consultants due to the side effects that he has been left with. During this time CLIC sargent stepped in and acted as family support, they were able to answer questions the family had, access grants and disibility facilities, they aided with housing and dealt with concerns over treatments, they liased with the doctors and helped the family have a better understanding of why we had been offered certain treatments as well as organising days out for the siblings of sick children and the children themselves,  The help and support they gave was invaluable, especially at a time when you dont know where to turn and who to ask for help.  Thankfully Jamie is doing well and has been in remission for 2 years now so its our time to give a little something back, CLIC sargent rely on fund raising and donations, and without this they wouldnt be able to provide such a worthy service to parents and families during the confusion and the turmoil that a childhood cancer diagnosis brings.  So im doing a sponsored abseil down the qmc to raise as much as i can for this very deserving charity, so please sponsor me and help me raise as much as i can so that this charity can continue their good work and help make a difference to more families lives that have had the unfortunate news that their child has cancer. many thanks in advance
