The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

We are holding a tennis tournament for 2.6 hours on Saturday 2nd May. Julian is not a seasoned player and Janine is a novice.  For us, this is a marathon event.  We will post the final result of our match, with photos.

We are involved with Project Harar as supporters and donors, and we want to help it weather the Covid-19 storm.  100% of the funds raised for this 2.6 Challenge will be donated to Project Harar. Additionally, Julian and Janine will donate a further 50% of the final sum to an NHS charity.

Charity fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The London Marathon has been cancelled and especially smaller charities like Project Harar are struggling to maintain services because of  a huge reduction in income.

Project Harar provides access to treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration services in Ethiopia for children and young people with clefts and more complex facial disfigurements. We do this because these children and young people are at risk of stunting, malnutrition, and social exclusion.
