This time last year I had just finished six months of chemotherapy and I was about to start radiotherapy as part of the treatment I was receiving for breast cancer. I can’t believe the difference a year has made. I am now fit and well, back at work and leading a normal life again.

 I will never forget the terrible fear that I felt when I was first diagnosed with an aggressive grade 3 cancer. But I will always remember the emotional and practical support that Maggie’s gave me and my family.  And still does. Their door is always open to anybody who has any kind of cancer and also to their family and friends. They know the impact of cancer and it’s treatment can last for many years and so there is no cut off point for the support they offer. 

We are hoping to raise money for Maggie’s as they rely completely on donations. Please give if you can. It doesn’t matter how small it is. It could cover the cost of a cup of tea. And a cup of tea and a chance to talk to someone will make a huge difference to somebody who has just been diagnosed with cancer and whose whole life has been turned upside down.
