Fundraising for Marie Curie
As most of you will be aware by now, my mum passed away on Wednesday 20th of May 2020.
Her final few days were made better thanks to the caring staff from the Marie Curie nurses. None more so than Lynn who went above and beyond for my mum.
She swapped shifts and even worked her days off just to ensure my mum was comfortable and that we could get a few hours respite at night.
We would like to initially try and raise money to try and cover the costs for the 7 nights which the nurses spent at home with us but plan to raise as much money as we can to try and help other families in their time of need.
Marie Curie's Summer collections have been put on hold as volunteers are currently unable to collect on the streets, in shops and public places. During this unsettling time, its critical that Marie Curie Nurses continue to provide care to families in need.Marie Curie believe that everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel. The right care means everything to families living with a terminal illness. Thanks to supporters like you, Marie Curie can be there for more families. Your donation will help support people living with a terminal illness across the UK, so thank you.
