Mom's wish was to spend what time she was given enjoying her view surrounded by family in the home she built. She was clear about not wanting to end up in hospital or hospice. We were so fortunate for the early connections with the Palliative Team here in Huntsville. We could not have walked alongside Mom so confidently at home without her team holding our hands. Because of their knowledge, support and compassion we were able to keep Mom comfortable and meet all of her needs at home. The team of Doctors and Nurses made this possible.

Our hope is that in lieu of flowers we are able to express our gratitude to the team to help support and enrich the care provided to those who are palliative here in Muskoka. And so we ask that should you wish to show your love, you consider supporting this phenomenal group of healthcare practitioners who made it possible for Mom to be where she desperately wanted to be. Our hope is we will be able to outfit them with much needed medical equipment to directly impact this team's ability to care for palliative patients locally.
