We did a great ride round 10 churches in north-east Leicestershire, starting at Coston where we had a photo with High Sheriff Henrietta Chubb, then on to Wymondham, Edmondthorpe, Sewstern, Buckminster, Sproxton, Saltby, Stonesby, Watham on the Wolds, Garthorpe and back to Coston.  Not too many hills and some lovely, mainly ironstone, churches.  My main visual takeaway from the day was the preponderance of amazing medieval corbels!

Here's our original story back in September - Please sponsor us for our cycle round churches in North-East Leicestershire!  All funds raised will go to the LeicesterShire Historic Churches Trust which gives grants to historic churches and chapels throughout Leicester and Leicestershire for REPAIRS AND RESTORATION PROJECTS (for church builidngs and for contents such as organs, bells and important monuments - and also alarms to help protect church roofs against lead theft) and for RENOVATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS that enable greater community use of these treasured buildings (loos and serveries, heat and light, DDA access).
