Story

I'm Jane Talbot - I'm a 44-year old mother of a 10-year old boy. As a mother, I would want my child to be cared for in his time of need - no matter what his age. So I am setting out on a series of fund-raising adventures over the next 2 years with the aim of raising £100k for Help For Heroes to help make sure that our military sons and daughters have the care their mothers would want for them.

It's now December 2010 and I have already completed several fund-raising adventures : the Mourne 52-mile ultra marathon on the 12th June 2010 , a 203-mile unsupported run across Islay and Jura in July 2010 and the West Highland Way in October 2010 (including a 23-mile Man Versus Mare race at the end- that's me racing against a group of male 20-somethings!).All preparation for an unsupported cycle to St Petersburg followed by a 100k adventure race in Mongolia in the Spring of 2012.

The West Highland Way team have helped to raise money too via 2 other Just Giving pages - so as at December 2010 the common pot stands just shy of £10k.Thanks so much if you've given in 2010!There'll be more adventures in 2011. I'll keep you posted! Read about my adventures here http://www.intrepidjane.wordpress.com

Your generosity is much appreciated!

Gotta run! Jane ;-)
