Story

My beautiful wife Janet awoke on Tuesday 19th December 2017 with what appeared to be quite severe cold/flu symptoms. On Wednesday night 20th December she died .... she was quite simply here one day and gone one night.... On that dreadful Wednesday it was still unclear what had caused the Sepsis which took her life in such a terrible way.

The shock of my baby dying has broken me in a way I am sure will never truly be repaired...... Caley, Aaron & Michaela are Devastated by the loss of their wonderful, exceptional, caring Mum.....

My Grandchildren have lost a Nanny who’s love for them was totally unconditional..she completely doted on all of them.... she was never more happy then being with them...Grandchildren & Children... total affection, pure love....

The Always Remember Fund maintains a lasting tribute to Janet. My family and I are determined to raise awareness of Sepsis along with those many other families who have lost loved ones so tragically.  All of the money raised through Always Remember funds will help the UK Sepsis Trust achieve its aim of saving 14,000+ lives in the UK every year.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
