Story

It's well known how much Nora loved bears, whether real or not, and because of this we have chosen to raise funds in her memory for the Born Free Foundation (BFF) and its work with bears in Europe and across the world.  We feel this charity is one Nora would have approved of.

Although best known for its work with big cats, the BFF works tirelessly, often in partnership with other, local charities, to rescue and care for animals that continue to be captured in the wild and sold as pets, or exploited in captivity (often in horrific conditions) for profit.

The BFF supports the Orphan Bear Rescue Centre (OBRC), in Russia, helping ensure every bear cub they rescue is raised to have the best chance of future survival in the wild.  In Asia, its partner Animals Asia is working to close the dreadful bear bile factories and give the rescued bears a great life in their award winning sanctuaries.

The Foundation also support the Arcturos Environmental Centre & Bear Sanctuary in Greece providing lifetime care and protection for rescued bears, and orphaned bear cubs saved from the cruel dancing bear trade.

Every penny of your donation in Nora's memory will go to the BFF and help support its work to ensure these gorgeous animals, that she loved so much, have a happy pain free future. And don't forget to add Giftaid if you are a tax payer - this comes at no cost to you and helps Born Free receive even more money!

Thank you for your support in Nora's memory
