Story
On 14th September I am taking part in the Midnight Beach Walk on Weston-Super-Mare beach, in memory of my husband, Keith. As you know Keith had been ill for some time and had spent a number of weeks in the BRI before being transferred to Weston Hospice where he passed away 9 days later. From the moment he arrived the care he received was second to none! Every single member of staff was so lovely to not only Keith, but to us all as a family, no amount of money can ever repay their kindness, support and care, but every penny I can raise will help the hospice continue their outstanding work. I'll be walking as team 'KEITHS GIRLS' with Alison, Alice, and hopefully Sara.
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
