Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Maxine's JustGiving page.
Maxine passed away unexpectedly on 19th July this year and many of her friends wanted to do something in her memory.
Maxine, taken too soon and missed so much by her friends.
She campaigned tirelessly for human rights and our LGBT community specifically. Whether this was bringing the community together with MeetUp groups, fundraising for LGBT (LoveHumanRights) asylum seekers or fighting for the rights of disadvantaged people in her role as Policy Advisor for DWP.
She was always first to go up to someone standing alone and talk to them to put at ease, first on the dance floor. She could be found with Espresso martini in hand, holding court, putting the world to right.
She also volunteered, at London Friend and at her local school, mentoring youngsters.
We have lost a great contributor, a good advocate and campaigner.
Things I will miss about you Maxine
Your laughter - loud and so infectious
Your eyes –full of sparkle and passion for life
Your mind- so sharp and focussed on the end result
Your passion - for life, for your community, for human rights
