Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I decided that this year I had to raise the bar a little and rather than just walk 5 km it would be good to make the challenge more difficult - seeing as how fighting cancer cant be done the easy way, but has to be met face on with all the messy bits thrown in.

Sarah and I are going to do this in honour of our beautiful friend and neighbour Jacqui (see photo above), who is shining as a light to all around her as she deals with cancer. Her courage and acceptance and openness are an inspiration to all of us. If Jacqui can do the clean version of race for life, then we can surely get down and be dirty in her honour! There have also been many other lovely people in my life who have been taken by the talons of cancer and I do this in memory of them also - Trevor, Bob, Fi and others.
