Story
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Lock-down created a new way of life for me as I am sure for
many others. Walking became my reset button, a grounding back to nature experience that was good for my health and also importantly, my mental well-being.
With the 150 anniversary of our Hellmann business, the company I work for , I wanted to give something back to commemorate our wonderful F.A.M.I.L.Y. My mother was recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia which has no cure. I have never
really been exposed up close and personal to such a disease and I want to raise awareness and raise some money for finding a cure!
So 150 moments, is going to be 150 miles walked, starting 1st
July and to be completed by end September.
I urge you to think, that if we all donated something, no matter how humble, it would add up and make a difference.
Let's beat this disease !
