Story
Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page!
It might seem mad, but I'm planning to cycle the John Muir Way in June, a 134 mile (or 215km, which sounds even longer...) trail from west to east across southern Scotland, in aid of the John Muir Trust who do such an awesome job in protecting wild places.
At the moment, the natural world needs all the support that it can get, and I want to do as much as I can to give it that. Cycling across Scotland seemed like a fitting way to go the extra mile (sorry)
The last year has taught us all so much about the massive role that nature plays in our lives - as our life support, it's vital that we put respect for the environment at the heart of everything we do, for the good of ourselves and our planet. Through studying science A levels, it has hit me that we, as humans, are just another species to call Earth our home. But, and here's the important part, we are the only species with the ability to now save that home, on which all those other species rely.
So that is the short version of why I'm doing this!
It looks like it'll take about 5 days to reach the end point, weather and energy levels permitting, and I'd be incredibly grateful of any donation that you're able to give....and if you happen to fancy cycling any of it with me then give me a shout!
