Story

We are fundraising in memory of the amazing Lynne. She was taken from us far too soon. None of us have been able to say goodbye or come to terms with the massive hole that has been left behind. Lynne lived her life to the full, embracing new adventures, travelling the world and enriching everyone's lives. She loved her family with all her heart and was so proud of Neil and Jess and her Grandchildren, Evie, Ralph and Chloe.  We would like to raise enough money to name a Guide Dog puppy in her memory. We will combine donations from the funeral with money we raise from this page. Neil and Jess are planning to do a hilly 10k in South Devon in July, running where their Mum spent her childhood. Lynne's Granddaughter Chloe has a buddy dog from Guidedogs who has transformed her life. Sapphire is giving Chloe much needed confidence, affection and furry cuddles as well as helping her get out and about more. Chloe hopes to have a Guidedog when she is older as well. Lynne knew before she died what a difference Sapphire was making to Chloe's life. We love the idea that her memory will live on in a puppy who will change someone else's life too.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
