Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi, I'm Jane Farrier and in 2012 I was extremely proud to carry the Olympic Torch into Waltham Forest. This was one of the proudest moments of my life and I want to recreate this feeling by supporting the NHS and the amazing way they are looking after us all at the moment.
I am going to carry the Olympic Torch in my Olympic Kit for 26 laps of the communal gardens where I live, video it and post on social media.
The challenge is for anyone to carry an Olympic Torch which they are lucky enough to have or to make their own version which can be as simple or complicated as you like. Carry a wooden spoon for instance!
Any combination of the numbers 2&6 is great, 26 laps, 260 metres etc. etc. Walk, run, crawl, I don't mind. Individually or as family.
The final leg and place of honour will be run by 86 year old Ken Jones who today would have run his 40th consecutive London Marathon.
Please if possible video the beginning and the end of your challenge where you hand over your "torch" to the next person. #virtualOlympicTorchRelay
Let's see how far we can do together!
Have fun and if we can raise some money then great but please do your challenge within the government guidelines.
