Story
When I was young my Dad asked me what I wanted be when I grew up and I said, 'a runner'.I think I had come first in a school sports day, so naturally, it was the obvious choice. I wanted to be in the Olympics. Sadly, next year, I came second. The dream was short lived.
It only feels fitting that I dedicate my fund raising efforts to my Dad, a man who fought so hard for his life, but sadly lost the battle to cancer. And my lovely Godmother, Auntie Marlene, who died last Christmas from a stroke. These are two people who made the world a better place.
In memory of them, I am running for the Palliative care unit, Bradford hospitals and ward 6, the stroke ward. I'm running for pillows and toothpaste. Palliative care is so important to so many, and the hard working carers are in desperate need of simple comfort. Pillows and toothpaste. Please, dig deep and help this very important cause. Its an area that fights for funding constantly, so every penny really does help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
