Story
This September, I will be taking part in Cure Leukaemia's "Your14" Challenge. Why? Because every 14 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. Its time to end this!
On 31st August 2014, one of those 14 was my daughter. She received fabulous care from University Hospital Coventry and QE University Birmingham hospitals, but after relapsing, a bone marrow transplant and then a 2nd relapse all her treatment options were exhausted. In October 2016 she was given 2 months to live.
Step up Cure Leukaemia and one of their life saving clinical trials.
It worked.
Nearly 6 years after she was told nothing more could be done with she is still with us.
So, I am going to attempt 140 rope skips (in one go of course...). I used to skip at Primary school age, but that's a very long very time ago. I had a try this morning and I managed 6.... Oh dear...
