Looe Island Swim · 5 September 2021

The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health fundraises for nurses, equipment and treatment, as well as providing, awareness campaigns on prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men, right across Devon and Cornwall. We also raise awareness of testicular cancer and penile cancer in our communities.

Story

The Mad-Maids of Polperro are a group of like minded women who appreciate the benefits that regular chill water swimming brings.

Four of us were lucky to have received places in this year's Looe Island swim and need your support to encourage us to complete this challenging swim of just over a mile in the open water together!

Why not come and see us train in Polperro Harbour around 8 am, better still, please make a donation!

The funds raised by us, will help support Prostrate, Testicular and Penile Cancer patients and their families. The Chestnut Appeal for Men's Health support our hospitals by purchasing the very latest equipment and treatments that perhaps aren’t available in the region. They have a unique geography, so their work is often unique, to help more men than ever before, they are also building an online community, reaching more men in the community who need help and support during and after their cancer treatments.
