Thank you for taking the time to visit and read my Just Giving page. Earlier this year one of my colleagues became seriously unwell and after a short illness sadly passed away on the 13th of June 2023, at the age of 45. As you can imagine, all our team at work and everyone who knew her was devastated by this news. She will be deeply missed by all.

The charity I have chosen to support is Blood Cancer UK.

On the 10th September 2023, I will be running the Great North Run, half marathon, to help raise money and the profile of this charity. Blood Cancer UK helps and supports affected people and their families, when most needed. To continue to benefit those who may be affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and all types of blood cancer and to help continue their research, Blood Cancer UK would greatly appreciate any donations.

Despite being the fifth most common cancer in the UK, blood cancer doesn’t receive the public profile of other cancers and a big part of the charity’s strategy is to raise that profile, in an effort to reduce the harm that this lack of awareness is causing the blood cancer community.
