Story

Meeting Claire Lomas MBE (in this profile pic) made me put things really into perspective. A fall from a horse left her paralysed, but in no way did she slow down.

Completing the London Marathon in a robotic suit in 17 days, Claire made great leaps in raising awareness of The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation. Her courage and bravery shines through. Her achievements since the accident would fill a book (in fact they have - 'Finding My Feet', well worth a read).

I'm not sure (actually I am pretty certain) I will be able to run all the route in Dublin - and it won't be because of the Guinness!

After two broken legs, I've got a bit of metalwork around my ankle that might slow me down, but I'll give it my best shot and when I cannot run I'll walk just as hard!

I hope you'll dig deep and put a bit of money this way to support a charity that is well-run, efficient and directs the funds it raises to treating paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.
