I am participating in an 11day trek to Machu Picchu, Peru in October 2022, to raise money for Julia's House Charity. I have pledged to raise at least £1000 and ask if you could kindly help me achieve that.

Julia's House is a local charity which provides care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions and helps their parents with a much-needed break, as well as offering friendship and support for the whole family. 

Last year, my eldest son was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma, an aggressive cancer which affects the immune system. He endured months of chemotherapy which affected him both physically and mentally. Fortunately, Hodgkins Lymphoma is also one of the more treatable cancers and thankfully, my son is now in remission and his health much improved.

For those children and families where the outcome may sadly not be so positive, any help or support that can be sought along their journey, provides an essential lifeline.  That's why Julia's House needs ongoing fundraising support to help it continue its essential and invaluable work in the community.
