Story
Every day of the year, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering lifesaving care. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
I see and hear the Air Ambulance helicopters fly over our house on an almost daily basis. Every time I think of the crew and casualty and hope for the best. I’m a keen supporter of the Air Ambulance Service and although I’ve never needed a land or air ambulance I know people whose lives have been saved.
This challenge is a daunting one for me, however, it’s a unique opportunity to combine raising money for an amazing cause and scaling the heights the iconic Coventry Cathedral, one of my favourite buildings.
With just over 3 weeks to go, I’d like to thank everyone who has donated so far, I’m very grateful. Thanks to anyone about to donate.
I can’t see who has donated anonymously, please drop me a line so I can thank you personally.
