Story
This is a story of how small our world is. Most of you know Graham's story and how we came to The Bell Center. As the years have passed I realize what a community he has created. For a few years in early elementary shcool Graham went to summer camp and two of his counselors, Charles and Brittany would later marry. This past year Charles and Brittany adopted a pefect littly guy of their own named Micah who like Graham has Down Syndrome. Being the prorgram direrctor at The Bell Center I am often the initial contact for a family. When I met with Brittany she told me how she still had a camp picture with Graham in it in their new nursery. Small world.
In my personal life I have a special group of friends who love to run. We often meet and run and then stay for coffee because we enjoy each other's company. Running friends over the years have become the closest friends because of the amount of time we spend together. Conversations on long runs range from funny stories to serious counseling sessions. I am proud to have these folks running beside me and to support what means so much to me.
Three of my friends have their own personal expreriences having children attend TBC. Others have offered a neverending means of support for Graham and TBC as well as running, fundraising and volunteering hours in the program.
We are honored to run for Micah. He is a precious little boy and is growing and thriving. Help us continue the great work this place does for him and others. It is a small world and chances are you know someone who has a connection to TBC.
