Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother, Shaun, was diagnosed last September with Lung Cancer. His chemotherapy treatment and other drugs were unresponsive and eventually he was referred to the Royal Marsden Hospital. He started a new drug recently, and after just 3 weeks the tumour has reduced by 20%.

The last few months have been the toughest time for our family but through all the love and support of our friends and family, he is still with us, cracking jokes and winding us up.

There are tears, pain and bad days, but he is fighting-not just for himself- but for his loving wife, children and grandchildren.

I know that he will not be completely cured, but there is hope, and whilst you've got hope, you've got something to live for.

This climb is my way of showing the love and support I have for my brother- he has got a mountain to climb every day in just being alive- so I will climb this mountain for him and for anyone else who is suffering because without this wonderful charity- hope wouldn't exist.
