Story
Most people will be aware of the amazing work that hospices do. St Barnabas House is our local hospice, providing invaluable care and support to individuals and families dealing with cancer and other terminal illness.
Cancer touches all of us in some way at some point. At a time when most of us feel powerless to help, organisations like St Barnabas are there to guide and support families through the hardest of times. They enable the most difficult experiences to be the very best that they can be.
Right now, a beautiful family that is dear to myself and the girls are being offered support from St Barnabas at a time when it is needed. This is affecting one of Daisy and Lily’s friends directly so they want to show support for their friend whilst raising money for the hospice. The girls have decided they want to walk with me on June 29th as part of St Barnabas’ ‘Night to Remember’ as part of team Jemma’s Gems.
The girls have committed to 13.1 miles, considerably further than they’ve ever walked before. They are apprehensive about whether they can manage the distance and any donations, no matter how small, will encourage them no end.
