Richie's Walk · 16 April 2011

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Richie’s Walk is a 17 mile sponsored walk through the Peak District, Derbyshire, in support of the Leukaemia Research Fund. The walk was first organised in 1995, when Richard Field, the funniest and most caring guy you would wish to meet, was diagnosed with Leukaemia. He fought a very brave battle, without ever losing heart or his fantastic spirit, but sadly died in November 1997.

Leukaemia Research Fund (LRF) is a charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia, the lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplasia, the myeloproliferative disorders and the related blood disorders in both children and adults.

Any donations/sponsorship is much appreciated.

Many thanks - Jane
