After a lot of deliberation I decided to train for a marathon and thought it would be an extra incentive to run and raise money for a charity. I chose Alzheimer's Research UK as I know so many friends and family who have been affected by this disease, either directly, or through supporting a loved one. Taking part in the Virtual London Marathon on 3rd October seemed like a good option this year, so I applied for the charity place and have spent the last 4 months doing more running than I ever imagined! It's been gruelling and rewarding in equal measures but made all the more worthwhile knowing I would be raising awareness for Alzheimer's Research UK.
