Story
Since Alice’s death in 1995 Peter and I have been keen supporters of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. Many of you have supported us before,
including in 2013 when Peter completed the Cambridge to London Cycle Ride (53
miles).
It’s now my turn to get out on my bike (affectionately called Liz) and go one “pedal” better. With support from Peter, my nephew Christopher Parnell-Smith and Nigel (who rode with Peter in 2013), I have set myself the challenge of the Prudential Ride London Surrey 100 MILES to raise funds for GOSH.
Training – could not have been better - 2 months in hot and sunny France before coming down to “Earth” with a return to a wet and windy week in Scotland. The training is going very well and I am on course to complete my full training plan before travelling to London to join all the other 25,000 riders.
Why am I doing this? – it’s simple, this is for Alice.
Thank you for your interest and support, every £1 will help.
